Building Location Information

• Location Description:The building is located west of the Iowa River on Newton Rdjust north of the General Hospital. It provides library services and collections for the health sciences campus and hospital, as well as the general public. The Hardin Library Web Site is available at www.lib.uiowa.edu/hardin/.

Building Accessibility Information

• Accessibility Summary: The building is accessible to persons with disabilities.
  
  
• Accessibility Path: The HLHS is reached from the sidewalk on the south side of Newton Road. The accessible entrance is located on the north side of the building.  An additional accessible entrance is located on the south side of the building. Both entrances are equipped with power door openers.
  
  
• Parking: There is designated parking for persons with disabilities in the traffic circle to the east of the main entrance, just south of the Medical Education Building.
  
  
• Restrooms: An accessible restroom for each sex is located in the building. Both are located on the third floor, the main entrance level to the building. The men's restroom is room 320, and the women's restroom is room 321.
  
  
• Elevators: The building elevator is located in the center of the building.
