Accessibility Information

Location
The facility is located west of the Iowa River at 405 N. Riverside Drive, west of the Levitt Center and south of Parklawn Residence Hall. Vehicle traffic must access the site from North Riverside Drive by turning west onto Grove Street, travelling approximately 200 feet and turning south onto Ridgeland Avenue.

Accessibility Summary
The facility is accessible to persons with disabilities. The parking lot at the south of the building provides the most direct access to the southwest entrance which has automatic doors with push panel operators. This entrance leads to the lobby area with access to the performance hall and restrooms.

The performance stage at the front of the recital hall is wheelchair accessible by a ramp located on the east side of the stage.

There are two designated parking spaces near the northwest entrance. The northwest entrance has a ramp but is not equipped with automatic openers and opens into a winding hallway. Assistance would be needed to use this entrance.

There are two entrances facing N. Riverside Drive on the east side of the building that are not wheelchair accessible. This facility is accessed by the UI Cambus Bionic Bus, 335-7595.

The site is intended to be pedestrian oriented. Parking is not available to students or the general public visiting this building.

Accessibility Path
The wheel chair accessible path is located in the south parking lot. A walkway/ramp leads from the parking lot to the southwest entrance of the building.

Accessibility Parking
There are two designated accessible parking spaces located on the northwest corner of the building on Ridgeland Avenue. Ridgeland Avenue passes along the west wall of the recital hall to the south parking lot. The south parking lot is located nearer in proximity to the accessible southwest entrance.

Accessibility Restrooms
Accessible restrooms are located on the ground level near the southwest entrance.

Elevators
The elevator is located inside the east entrances of the facility, facing N. Riverside Drive.
